Livre d'Heures Satyrique et Libertin du XIXme Siècle

Livre d'Heures Satyrique et Libertin du XIXme Siècle

Kistemaeckers, Henry ed. Brussels: Printed by Vanbuggenhoudt, 188?. 159, [1] pp. Black morocco tooled in blind, blue silk moiré endpapers, elaborate gilt dentelles. All edges gilt. Slight rubbing to head and tail of spine and extremities, some staining to back endpapers. From the library of Giancarlo Beltrame.

A libertine's book of hours, "conceived without sin by the Brussels publisher Henry Kistemaeckers." Includes text by Alfred de Musset, Théo Hannon, Henri Nizet and others. Chapters include morning prayers, evening prayers, meditations, oblations, and voluptuous lamentations - and others. And they're all filthy.

The real MVP here is the illuminated borders though. What smut!

Includes several blank pages at the beginning for "Souvenirs d'amour" if you're into that sort of thing. Overall, this is a beautiful piece of fin-de-siècle porn. (75)
