Book plate of horror writer Stanley Wiater on front free endpaper. Some shelf wear, extremities rubbed, overall very good.

A history of feminine lingerie from Sumeria c.3000 BC all the way up to the red-and-black lace of the 1980s. Heavily and delightfully illustrated.

Written by French author Jacques Laurent, whose Les Bêtises won the Prix Goncourt in 1971.
