Michael A. Rosen is a San Francisco-based photographer whose depictions of sexuality challenge ideas about both pornography and fine art photography. His photographs manage to be at once explicit and surprisingly tender, depicting real people participating in real, safe, sane, and consensual play. Subjects are often depicted laughing and smiling while engaged in sometimes very hardcore scenes. His work is also notable for featuring subjects of varying sexual orientations, identities, and expressions as well as text created by the people photographed. The resulting works are a gorgeous peek into the sexual lives of friendly kinksters of all sorts.
