Preface by Dr. William Beham. Introduction by Meredith Nicholson. Offsetting to front free endpaper. Light foxing throughout. Uncommon in jacket. Overall very good.

A serious treatise on palmistry, which enjoyed a popular resurgence in the wake of the Great Depression and the start of the Second World War. At the request of President Franklin Roosevelt, Meier donated the original 135 autographed palm prints reproduced in this book to the Library of Congress. They currently reside in their Manuscripts Division, along with Meier's papers
