[Martinka & Co.] New York: Martinka & Co., 1898. 8vo. 44pp. Pictorial wraps. Crease in center from where catalogue was folded for mailing purposes. Loose in wraps. Some slight tears to edge of wraps. Heavily illustrated throughout, with images of each trick. Printed by Ben Franklin Press, NY.

Catalogue of tricks from the oldest magic shop in the United States with a gorgeous illustrated cover. Contains descriptions for and illustrations of 170 different magic tricks, as well as prices. (20 cents to learn to breathe fire! 40 cents for a life-size human skull, don't ask where we got it!)

But by far the creepiest is the talking hand, ($1, trick no. 120) a glove painted and arranged to look like an old woman. Not nightmare inducing at all.
